commandN YouTube Channel

You asked for it and we delivered! The official commandN YouTube Channel is  now live (and we already have many great clips from the commandN library uploaded).

So if you just want to see Leo Laporte talking about Podcasting (back in 2005!), Amber's favorite web design sites, Jeff's Drobo review, or Brian's recommendations for filmmakers - then this is where you need to go! You can also watch the infamous blooper episode, Will's top Facebook apps, and Jeff's tips on better Google searching.

We are uploading new content daily and will be breaking down each new episode starting this week (we may also be producing YouTube only content in the future so stay tubed).

commandN Holiday Monday & Apple WWDC 2006 Update

It's a holiday here in Ontario today.  Brian just arrived home from Florida.  I just got off a plane from Charlottetown.  Jeff just got back home to Halifax.  And Mike has been holding fort in Toronto, waiting for news from the Apple WWDC 2006.  Fortunately Jeff did a thorough review of what was announced at the conference today, so check here for the latest and greatest Apple news.

We'll also be chatting about the conference news on this week's ep of commandN, so thanks for your patience as we work to get this week's show out in the next day or so with segments from Charlottetown, Halifax, and T.dot.   

Episode links/show archives - server-side massaging

First of all, Happy Father's Day to all of the Dads out there!

In case any of you (not just Dads) are trying to access specific shows/links and are noticing an error message, we wanted to let you know that we're working to move some of our files around (FYI - SMUnique is still one of our hosting companies and we love them, really).  Our traffic is growing rapidly (one year strong!), as are our storage needs, and so we are outgrowing an existing hosting situation with one of our smaller-sized hosting companies/sponsors (Vizaweb). 

Our weekly episode (#50) will be posted tomorrow, as usual; some past episode links and .torrent files will be offline for a couple of days.  The Audioblog version is still available, as always.

Weekend Server Maintenance

We are going to be doing some maintenance to the commandN servers over the weekend that may result in dead links on our site and our RSS feeds going offline.

All should be done by Monday for the release of Episode 43!

commandN Frappr fan map - Post your city!

Frappr is yet another cool use of Google Maps.   Michel from the Netherlands just sent me a link to a commandN fan map he created (very cool!).  If you're a fan of the show, post on our map so we have a chance to figure out who's watching/from where!
