ambers mic was way too hot for most of the show. loved how jeff had to look to his crotch over and over again in the beginning. The bagpipes were nice.

Yup, we know that my mic was a little hot...happens sometimes with the mic I wear...next time we'll double check while out shooting or fix 'er up in post! THX!

I knew I shouldn't have written the show notes on my crotch!

I have been to Skinners Pond, home of Stompin Tom. I loved your web picks. Not sure if Colbert will do that he is busy like you guys.

Them sketches were amazing. I wonder if he would do one for Obama and Clinton? :0

Haven't watched it yet. been checking on itunes the last couple days for the episode. You guys not throwing them up there anymore? :(

Great webPICKS this week, all three of them!
However I have to say that although we all know that the two of You are big Apple YouKnowWhats, including a news about Windows 7 apparently for no other reason than to bash it is really bad journalism, don't You think? I know, Your headLINES are always opinionated, but that seemed a bit over the top.
Cheers and mooooooo! :-)

Hey guys,
Great webpick on searchme. We've been watching them since their public beta and agree that they have a very cool coverflow-like interface.
Ironically, one of Viewzi's interfaces is very similar. We are launching into our public beta phase next week (Monday @ 7PM CST). We have 12 different search views (interfaces) now and will launch in our public beta with several more.
I invite you to have a peek and let us know what you think of our different ways to look at search.
Before Monday, you can go to http://www.viewzi.com/invites and use "commandn" as the referral code for access. After 7PM on Monday, you won't need a referral code as it will be completely open to the public.

Jeff, glad to see you doing more 'free form' stuff. You always talk about great stuff, but usually it's a little dry (well more monotone) and too long! This and last episode was much better. sure you say some random crazy stuff ... but we like it. :D
Amber, hawtness. that's all.

Mmm...Cow's ice cream reminds me of my visit to Halifax back in '04. Enjoyed the music and night life down on the boardwalk.
As Pete said, it was nice seeing Jeff a little more "free form".

No comments about the production quality, enough said above. I enjoyed seeing the both of you two weeks in a row, in entirely opposite environments. Thanks for the links.

Thanks for all the great comments! We will have this week's show out soon.

WECKMAN: Actually, we didn't really plan to bash that Windows 7 news, it just kind of came out. We only prep the headline itself, not any reactive comments. So in our defense, it was not included just so we could bash it - it just happened that after the headline came out, we did bash it :-) . Whoops.
GIO: Thanks for the Viewzi's referral code - looks cool!
PETE: Yeah, it's a lot easier to free form over headLINES than it is where you're actually trying to teach something in such a short time period, but I will try to keep it light and tight for the techTIPS and hotSTUFF segments too :-) .
Thanks for watching!

Was just checking the site to see if ep 136 was up yet and noticed that your redesign is up.
It's really nice to now have the larger video play directly in the main site, shame it's 4.30am and I have to go to sleep now so can't check out the new design much right now, which does look good, apart, and Amber probably knew that was coming, the comments have no easily to spot visual break between them as currently it's all solid grey, which this late at night after a long day a visual break would make it a little easier to hunt out individual comments.
Anyway, great podcast with a nice new site to go with it, I'll check back tomorrow to see if any links have got broken with the theme change, or will that already be later today?
Oh, as for bashing Windows 7, please bash away, that's what Windows are for, along with kicking footballs/throw rocks though. Sorry, I did say it was late here, but if Windows where so proud of Vista why are they already talking about what's going to be in Windows 7?
@Amber, Good luck with your keynote in Miami, so who are going to be the lucky people to hear you talk?, and don't you dare say it's to hot down there after your comments about all the snow and rain in T'dot. We have finally had to nice sunny days in a row here, OK, it was only 26c, but that's hot for us Brits. 5am, really need to sleep now, have a safe trip Amber.

This is just an interim redesign until we get the new site up. We really wanted people to have a bigger video window to view, what with the 16:9 shooting and stuff, so this helps accomplish that until we have our new site out.
Enjoy!

Hey, nice going! Liked the change of scenery :)
I agree with you on the Kindle pricing. I'd have thought that in order to push content out the door, they'd have offered the device at a nominal charge, or even free, in return for the customer purchasing a book a month, from a selection of a genre or genres the customer nominates. Maybe lock it in for 24 months. I doubt anyone contemplating purchasing such a device would have any problem with a book a month. Most avid readers would more likely buy several.
Anyhow, keep up the good work, and the lovely locales.
Cheers from Melbourne, Australia

This has got to be one of my all time favorite episodes of Command N.
Amber seems so much more relaxed. Sometimes she looks stiff and nervous, especially when she's around Mikey.
Jeff was excellent as co-host. Hope that he co-hosts more often.
The cow and bagpipes were such a great touch to the episode. Reminds me that this show is supposed to be fun.
More Command-N like this one!
