A great suite of Audio/Visual tools for a very reasonable price. I am curious as to Amber's thoughts. Please pass this on to Leo too.

The url for Suprnova is actually incorrect in this episode.
The right one is
http://suprnova.org/

Will, "The Final Countdown" is a song by Swedish rock band Europe. Not Boston :-)
Cheers,
Søren Ladegaard - Denmark

Thx for the suprnova.org correction ;). Glad you like the show!

Will,
I found the same thing. Here's a youtube of Europe's - The Final Countdown (Live)

Haha, you're right guys. I can't keep my geography-named 80s bands straight! Zomg, the hair in that video is unreal.

Just watched Episode 101 and it was good but Wil goofed a little. He said "Boston's 'Final Countdown'" but that song was actually done by a band called Europe.

After Jeff's piece and mentions of AppZapper and AppDelete, I thought I'd throw out a great bit of Mac software I came across recently. It's called Hazel and is basically an unclutterer for OS X.

What a fantastic surprise... thanks so much for featuring Noise to Signal in this episode! You rock!

Great show! I watch you guys via my iPod and iTunes while sitting in my cube and eating lunch. Maybe you could do a little segment on where and how people watch the show. Keep up the good work. I also watch Webnation. Awesome!

Great segment Jeff. Monolingual is the best. I used to CommandI on all apps and remove unused languages. This saves me from a lot of tedium.
What I also use a lot when cleaning up is Disk Inventory X. It shows the sizes of files in a very grafical way. It's easy to use, GPL'ed and free. But what's best is this cute girl from MacBreak Minute on their website that explains it a bit. http://www.derlien.com/

Thanks for the mention, Will. I'm getting much better after my stroke on August 4th. I still write poorly (my right side was affected and I'm right handed), but since I'm a code monkey, I usually type and mouse. I'm back to work full-time on Monday next, the 27th. I heartily recommend folks get their blood pressure checked once in a while. I'm not sure whether it was stress on the job or attending OSCON 2007 that lead to the stroke more. :-)
Thanks again!
Chris

I must agree, Jeff's tips were solid! I do my PC PMCS (preventative maintenance checks & services - Army terminology) every Sunday. Thanks to Jeff, I've added a couple more tasks to that to help keep my machine running in the groove.
May I offer up a possible next webPICK? - http://afterworld.tv/

thanks for your tip about cleaning disk space. I just liberated 8% just by removing old video files that I did not know still had around. By the way (out of topic) how is typepad for mobile blogging (email to blog)? And do you think iWeb will support mobile blogging (e.g. from iPhone) some day?

Love the new episode. In response to Jeff's tech tips, is there any way to mass-delete Hotmail emails. I have about 4000 emails and I don't feel like scrolling through pages of 20 to delete them.
..help.

Found a cool site. It is like the YouTube for storyteller/filmmakers. It looks like it also allows people who submit to network.
