Is it possible to get these files as audio instead of video ?

I love the show, but your Itunes MPEG4 feed does not update, well at least since Episode 22. Any reason Why?
Posted by: JT | November 27, 2005 at 08:09 PM
I've been having the same problem getting the feed from iTunes, plus I can't get iTunes to recognize the downloaded iPod feed.

iTunes user here too. I really love the show guys, I just wish you fixed the iTunes issues. It would also be much better imo to have ONE feed instead of two, unless you make it so they BOTH start working right! The episodes are not updating on both, and last I tried the h264 still will not sync over to the video iPod... it says it is not compatible. I know you guys work hard so keep up the great work and please fix this asap! :)

Hey Guys,
Another fantastic show! Just found out about commandN last week and have been having a blast catching up on all the episodes and checking out all the different links. (ordered my moleskine yesterday :-))
Amber and mike, you guys have really great chemistry and aside from being super informative, are quite funny! For the rest of the production team, the show is really quite sharp (save for the lighting this time) and well put together so kudos on that... but you gotta bring back the blooper endings!!!
Anyway, I'll stop gushing now. Thanks for the free entertainment and keep up the good work!
Peter
PS. My itunes also recognized that there was a new episode but didn't download it.

I think the main link for at least the .H264 is down. It wouldn't connect through DTV or when I tried to download from the link here. The file is showing as 203mb in DTV but downloading from the mirror it is only about 94mb.
Not sure if the link is broken or there is another issue but thought I would let you know.

Everyone take a deep breath!
First - when everyone is trying to download the show as soon as it is released the server takes a beating and a lot of people do not get the full file because the pipe can't handle it.
As for iTunes - these issues are not our fault. If you look at our feeds (located on the left side of this site) you will see that all the episodes are listed correctly for the H.264 and MPEG4 feeds. For some reason iTunes is not updating Episode 22 and 23 properly. Episode 24 added and downloaded no problem on my end this morning.
We have notified Apple and will hopefully get it all straigtened out ASAP.
The iPod version this week is different then the previous versions as I have been playing with the settings to get better quality. You will have to drag and drop the file into iTunes or select ADD TO LIBRARY and choose the file.

I'm just trying to get any of the download links to work from your site, even a torrent link and nothing is working. I know the server could be busy, but I should still be able to get a torrent link from the site. Something else seems to be wrong besides just high traffic.

As Brian mentioned, we're working on the issues - but it seems to be an iTunes problem.
Thx so much for your patience ;-).

Hm, I feel out of place because I had no problems downloading the show so I don't have any complaints. However, on the subject of random crap from the Philippines - have you seen the Miss McDonald livejournal? It's been around for a while and is old news, but if you haven't seen it you need to check it out.

I know most of you are aware cafepress.com where you can create your shirt designs. I was looking to buy a podcast shirt and I came across this really cool design. Tell your friends that you podcast.

OMG WTF! The beach is a great movie!!! I am never watching commandN again. J/k amber the place looks nice with the fire place and all congrats. My first comments ever bashing the beach gave me the ambition needed to post a comment.

In response to Brian's post can you explain why the h264 feed in iTunes will NOT sync over to my video iPod? I don't understand this problem... Even when the episodes are shown in the listing, I can DL it, then sync my iPod but iTunes gives me an error saying it's not compatible video. Am I the only one this is happening to?
Posted by: Aaron | November 28, 2005 at 07:21 PM
Our h.264 feed is not compatible with the iPod because it is 480 x 360 and the iPod only supports 320 x 240 when using the h.264 codec.
The iPod feed (which is currently not in iTunes) and the MPEG4 feed both work on the iPod. The iPod version for this week will look much better then the previous episodes in this format as I changed the settings (will be exporting the rest of the episodes with these new settings in the near future).
We should have the feeds fixed by morning. It is a mixture of iTunes, Feedburner and our servers all timing out and crashing. At least we now know the problem and should have a fix (this has been a nightmare to troubleshoot and I just want it to work so everyone is happy).

Okay so iTunes users like me should be downloading the MPEG feed, and it will be fixed up by morning? I understand now that the h264 feed in iTunes is not meant for iPod use but for PC/Mac use?
Thank you for the fast updates and for having such a great show. To have such greatness out there for free is remarkable to me. More and more I am watching shows like yours instead of TV. I can't wait to ditch my cable provider! :)

Once again, thanks for all your comments/feedback!
I'm sitting in a sea of boxes...but within a few days I hope to get things back to normal ;-)...just in time to shoot another ep!
